But thanks to you tube channels WarOfTheSaucermen - hamrecords - Andreas Goetze - yellowitom61 - and http://ubupopland.com, I’ve collected some rare goodies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland that - all in a row – seems to evidence that Germany and the German speaking countries, like all other European nations, had their own style , with a blink to what was dubbed Fetenmusik (party music) and often with lots of good chorus work. I’m afraid you’ll have to take German lessons, to get the full deal here (specially re: the bonus tracks) . At any rate, many songs have hilarious lyrics (like the mother who tells her son not to care if called dirty) and surprisingly inventive short cuts to the English language (like the Blue Cat’s Satisfaction).
